Dean C. Lohse, MD
- Joined Memorial Neurosurgery in 2006 from private practice. He has practiced in Jacksonville, Florida since 1981

Dr. Lohse has lectured at neurosurgical symposia and meetings over the last 20 years on subjects ranging from Neurosurgery Critical Care to Patient Safety Issues. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Lohse has performed approximately 5,000 surgeries which included adult intracranial and complex spine surgeries.
Dr. Lohse is active in Crossroad Church Missions Board and Church Council.
Kaveh Barami, MD, PhD

L. Alan Smith, MD, FACS
After receiving his undergraduate degree from University of Florida, Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the University of Florida School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency at University Hospital of Jacksonville in Surgery. He was board certified in 1979. Dr. Smith?s professional memberships include the Duval County Medical Society, Florida Medical Association, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and North American Spine Society. Dr. L. Alan Smith is the Director of The Spine Clinic.

Dr. Smith practiced as a general surgeon for over 20 years in Jacksonville, then became interested in working with back pain patients. He was Medical Director of the Back Pain Institute of North Florida from 2003 until he joined Memorial Spine Clinic in April, 2009.
Stephen S. Scibelli, M.D.
Dr. Scibelli graduated from Bates College with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Scibelli then entered his surgical internship followed by a residency in neurosurgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After completing his neurological surgery residency, he chose to continue his education at the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Institute for Spinal Disorders at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills, California. During his fellowship, Dr. Scibelli further developed his skills in minimally invasive and complex spinal disorders.
Dr. Scibelli is a member of the America Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and American Medical Association. He has also been the recipient of numerous awards and honors such as the Best Dissections Resident Award from the University of Florida Skull Base Surgery Course, Rotary Character and Leadership in Medicine Scholar, Paul Millard Hardy Prize, Medical Student Research Award, Unico Scholar Award, Dana Scholar nominee, and an award winner from the Southern Neurosurgical Society in Clinical Neurosurgery.
